The National Museum of Slovenia

The Slovenian National Museum is one of the first cultural and scientific institutions in Slovenia. Following a need to create a regional museum in 1821, the initiative will be realized with the authorization of Emperor Francois Joseph I of Habsburg in 1881 and the museum will then be called Rudolfinum, named after his son.

Neo-Renaissance style, the museum is in the city center a few meters from the parliament and the city opera.
