The Slovene Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum was founded in 1923 when it was an integral part of the Rudolfinum Regional Museum before. His first collections are formed thanks to the donations of missionaries, sailors, diplomats.

The definitive installation of the museum took place in 1997 in the old Austrian military barracks built between 1886 and 1889 and now renovated.

The tour will take you through the museum floors between past and present, discovering Slovenian cultural heritage and that of elsewhere, between nature and civilization, space for reflection on the world in general.
